 | This little fairy cat is spent. He has obviously had a hard day chasing dust bunnies and has settled himself down for a nice long nap –and don’t you dare think of disturbing him. For this week’s illustration Friday theme of “spent”I decided to pull out this previously painted fairy cat for [...] Pumpking Haunted House I combined my work from Sketch Fest and Illustration Friday this week. One theme was “Haunted Pumpkin Mansion”and the other “spooky”. That was fun to do. My big news this week is a special stamp release at Queen Kat Designs. Wednesday October 20th,QKD is having the largest yet release [...] This week’s Illustration theme is “Transportation”. No matter what I did,I couldn’t get out of my head the time my husband called me on his way to work to tell me that some guy was riding a unicycle in the rain. Doesn’t strike me as the most effective transportation for a rainy day. [...] Illustration Friday theme this week is –Proverbs. So I found a Darkovan Proverb about dragons “It is ill done to chain a dragon for roasting your meat.”This little guy is done with graphite on newsprint. So Saturday I worked on this little watercolor painting of a little fairy dragon’s metamorphosis. Then Sunday my huge german shepherd decided he needed a metamorphosis of his own,and has become a mama kitty. A little 4-5 week old kitten with some minor health problems was discovered [...] This week’s Illustration Friday theme is “Detective”. I went with that old detective novel style fellow with a rumpled overcoat and well worn fedora.
