New Fairy Cat bookmark Design

Well, this is my next project. Took all day just to get to this point and it is only 3×9 inches. I am hoping to get it painted so I can make some bookmarks from it before Friday.
Why Friday? Why this weekend is my first outdoor art festival in a [...]

New Drawings and Packing for Cons

Between trying to clean my Rapidograph pens and packing for the MileHiCon and Necronomicon, I have actually gotten a few drawings done.
H1N1 is probably the grosses thing I have managed to draw yet. For me he is a Kawaii blob of snot with a pig nose to represent the illustration friday theme of “germs”.

Illustration Of ArtFest 2008

This started out as just a drawing to occupy my time while waiting for things to start at ArtFest today. It was hot. But when I got home and scanned it, I realized that that image of discomfort and heat and maybe even low level anxiety mixed with creativity also could be a good [...]

Just to let you all know that I will be exhibiting at the Bath House Art Mart next week. It is part of the Dallas Art Dealer’s Association’s Gallery Walk. I will be in the theater this year.

Dallas City Arts Celebration – I’m In!

I am very excited. I just got my acceptance to this show. It is usually a good show and museums are free for the weekend.
Yes, I have been accepted every year that I have applied, but I still get a rush when I get these letters. Despite doing this for several years [...]

Huffines Art Festival

This past weekend I was at the Edom Festival of the Arts. It was a nice little show and I am looking forward to going back next year if I can find some grunt labor for Friday set up.
Saturday a fellow walks into my booth with his wife and they are looking through my [...]

Christmas Cards, New Prints and Festivals

Well the new Christmas Cards are finally in. To cover shipping I had to price the cards at $15 for a set of 6.  They are beautiful.  I am so happy with how they turned out.  Nice glossy finishes.  And they are big cards too. 5.5×8.5!

Christmas Cards on eBay
I have also been working on getting [...]

Happenings!

Well I am excited to announce that there is a new retail store carrying my prints and note cards in Arlington, and soon possibly some original works of art as well.  It is Mystic Moon Mansion at Cooper and Park Row, just a hop, skip and a jump from the University of Texas at Arlington.  [...]

Yule Cat and Seussian Suburb

First is the Yule Cat painting I promised to post a couple weeks ago, and just haven’t gotten around to doing until tonight.

11×14″
This is the last of my Christmas card designs. This one will have “Blessed Yule” inside. I am still offering preorders on these cards at $12 for a package of 8. [...]
