All-Con 2010 was a lot of fun. I met some nifty guys that do some cool web comics such as Two Tokens Last Stop and my personal favorite – Tiki Coladas.
I learned a lot, got some painting done (see fairy cat with purple wings painting posted here), saw some really cool costumes and in general had a good time. My only wish is that I had gotten more rest before the con so I could have played more instead of wanting to take a nap in the middle of the afternoons. I am sad that I missed the roller derby, but J picked up a schedule so we can get some friends together and go sometime soon. I will admit that being surrounded by a bunch of web comic guys, I now have the urge to start a web comic. But sadly I am not a writer and have no clue about creating a story for such.

Steam Punk Belly Dancer in Watercolor

I finished this painting around 2am. I have been working on it as much as I could in between headaches since Friday. I think she might be the sexiest thing I have done yet. I think I might have finally grasped how to do flesh tones with watercolor paint. She is on etsy for now. But if she doesn’t have a home within the next week or so, I think she will have to go to a convention, just so folks can see her in person.

My latest watercolor. It took a lot longer than most of my paintings of this size (5 inch square), but I enjoyed working on it and it turned out beautiful. It was inspired by my love of steam punk and girl genius.

You might also have noted that I haven’t been posting links to where you can buy my most recent artwork. that is because it is getting mailed to science fiction and fantasy conventions as fast as I can get them painted. Of course if you see something you absolutely love, please convo me about it. If it hasn’t mailed yet I am happy to consider a sale. Also following me on twitter you can find out when and what conventions I am mailing to. Also my facebook fan page, I will try to keep more up to date what art is going to what conventions. Some months might be difficult due to the number of conventions I am trying to commit to.
