 | I try and participate in a monthly themed exhibit most months. Some months are harder for me than others. This time I was given the theme “Ruby Slippers”. I didn’t want to go with the expected Wizard of Oz theme and to be honest I hate shoes. I should probably turn in my girl [...] Day 5 and 5 paintings. Ankle hurts and it is hard to prop it up while at the computer. So I will try and be more chatty tomorrow. And here we have the second painting in my painting a day challenge. Today was all sorts of crazy with it being my daughter’s tenth birthday celebration. Handmade cupcakes due to milk allergies,so all sorts of crazy. And still I remembered to walk nearly 2 miles and get my daily painting done. Okay [...] This little fairy cat is spent. He has obviously had a hard day chasing dust bunnies and has settled himself down for a nice long nap –and don’t you dare think of disturbing him. I still consider myself a newbie at it,but the wonderful ways you can use stamps is fascinating me. So I have decided to combine my new love of stamping with my old passion for sketchbooks. Here is the start of my new sketchbook and art [...] I have been busy. Lots of late nights sketching,inking and painting. Every moment seems to be spent creating. I take my daughter to swim classes and I draw,I take her to the pool,and I ink,sitting in a restaurant with my watercolors while waiting for dinner to arrive. Really at some [...] I just realized that I haven’t posted the promised completed paintings that I showed you the line drawings of a few days back. Well here they are in full color for your viewing pleasure. Also I have a new sketch that I have been wanting to share. I had to wait until the scanner [...] I had to get a new computer this weekend,which getting it put together and up and running,took the entire weekend. Thank you,James. And you might notice a pattern difference in Mama from my usual kitties. Up until recently I have had solid colored or basic tabby cats in my life.
