Getting Distracted by Butterflies and FairyCats
Yes, I was supposed to be working on the Beach Play mercat, I even got it inked. But while taking some time to sort my studio clutter, I came across this interesting little precut mat board. So I grabbed it when I headed out to Cafe Brazil for lunch. I sketched and inked it while I enjoyed one of their wonderful grilled cheese sandwiches. When I got home, instead of painting on what I was supposed to, I painted this little gem. The mat and everything only measures 5×7″. I have just a few more of these mats in different colors. But boy, do I wish I had lots of them.
I didn’t even pause long enough to scan the inked image.
Since K has Karate soon, there isn’t any time to start on Beach Play, so maybe tomorrow I can get it done.
