She is done! Since this is the first painting I have done like this, I thought I would put it up for auction instead of my usual selling venues. Check her out on eBay.
The painting is 8×8″. It was inked and then painted with watercolors.

She is done! Since this is the first painting I have done like this, I thought I would put it up for auction instead of my usual selling venues. Check her out on eBay. Well this is a bit different isn’t it. I think I must have been inspired by the Dr. Sketchy events that I have been attending. But here is a bit of sex appeal in fairy form for you all. I am trying to decide where to go from here. But it [...] I am so pleased with how the submarine turned out in this painting. I have never done machinery with paint before, so this was something completely new to me. But here we have the cutest little mercat with a steampunk style submarine. He is such a large mercat, that I suspect he [...] Okay this is the rough sketch of the mercat with the crashed steampunk style submarine. I really enjoyed designing the sub. Next time I will need to design the full thing, but it will just be fun. He is done! Since I was told that the gift has been given, here is the portrait of Buster. This is the third angel pet portrait that I have done. It is an 8×10 watercolor. What you don’t see in the scan is that I used an iridescent gold in a light wash over the [...] I know I haven’t posted in awhile. I had been working on an angel pet portrait that was commissioned. Due to it being a gift for someone, I didn’t think it would be nice to post my WIP of it. But I will be sure and post the final painting after [...] I have been decorating up my envelopes and packages that I send out with my nifty stamps from QKD. Today I used my Christmas Dragon, a flower from the retro circles set and some snowflakes that are not QKD. I will say that you can tell a difference on the ink distribution between [...] I have been making some gift tags for the holidays with my nifty dragon stamps by QKD. For these I used some card stock from a package of card stock scraps I got for $4 at my local craft shop. And the nifty colorful paper is some scraps I had from [...] This week’s illustration friday theme was “crunchy”. So we have a crunchy cookie. But yummy crunchy chocolate chip cookies never last long. So before I was even done painting it, this little dragon started chowing down. And he left cookie crumbs everywhere. |
