 | I know I haven’t updated the fairy cats painting yet,but I promise to work on it tomorrow. I had to take a break for…A-Kon! Yes,I spent my weekend watching all the cos-play folks,going to art panels and checking out the cool art. And I even bought a wig. If you are real [...] Well,the painting is finally taking shape. I still have a long way to go. Some more outlining and some details. But the detail work is really what takes the most time. I really need to figure out how to get a better scan. Once I get the yellows right the rich greens start [...] This is the point in my acrylics that they all look rather ugly. It only gets better from here. Next I am going to be layering in some more colors in the fairy cats and mushrooms,then some shading. Well,I rather liked the watercolor version,but I thought that if I did the painting in acrylic (My usual medium),that I might be able to get some more intense colors. So here is stage 1 of my attempt at acrylic on watercolor paper of my fairy cats. At this point I have [...] TA DAAA! Wasn’t that exciting. And if you want to buy it it is available at etsy. And for those of you with too full walls you can always wear it. This is an unusual shaped canvas and a fairy large size at 10×30″I just listed it on etsy. Here we have the painting with the background painted and me having started a bit on the underpainting of the grass.
