I admit that I am down right excited about Zazzle’s shoes. Being able to put my art on feet is about the coolest thing ever. I can never find shoes that I like anymore.
They don’t seem to carry any basics at the stores anymore, except white. And honestly plain white stands out a bit stark when my clothes are either black or bright colors. I have always loved Keds, and even used to buy white ones in high school and college and paint them with bright colors. Now, I can buy them with my art already on them. Makes it so much easier.

As you can see, I am making some things a nice black and white design so that they will go with everything, and others I am leaving full color for a splash of fun for the feet.

If there is something specific that you would like to see on a shoe, please let me know and I will get right to work on it. Designing shoes has been the most fun I have had in a long time. Now Zazzle needs to offer matching canvas purses and I will be a very happy person……

Did I ever tell you all that back in junior high and early high school I thought I wanted to be a fashion designer? This is so much better - NO SEWING!

The MAC

You Are What You Eat
Last night was a nice night out. James and I went to the McKinny Avenue Contemporary for the opening of the new show. Afterwards we got a chance to hang out with one of the artists at the Comsic Cafe for a nice dinner and conversation. Overall a really nice evening. Something I hope we can do again. I get the list of art opening each week, and I really need to go to more of them.

The art posting today, you might notice, is not mine, but that of Kimberly Bradshaw. It is her Mixed Media Work - You Are What You Eat, that she did for the MAC show that we went to last night. Click on the photo to go to her blog. She is a neat person and a long time friend of James’s. Her work is nifty too.
