Happenings!
September 29, 2006 on 2:43 pm | In Art, Events, Festivals | No CommentsWell I am excited to announce that there is a new retail store carrying my prints and note cards in Arlington, and soon possibly some original works of art as well. It is Mystic Moon Mansion at Cooper and Park Row, just a hop, skip and a jump from the University of Texas at Arlington. Luna is wonderful to work with, and I really enjoyed meeting her this week. I am also hoping to acquire some of the items in her clothing line. There was a jacket there that I am not sure I can live without. She also carries Laurel Burch hand bags. There is a part of me that secretly wants to be Laurel Burch, with artwork on scarves, handbags, journals, and note cards. But for now I am content to have my work hanging in the same lovely shop.
Also this weekend is the Great Steak of Texas show.  The show opens at 10am tomorrow and goest til 11pm that night and is open 10am to 6pm on Sunday. And I am debuting some new prints at the show. Dallas and Texas Wine Country. I will also have some prints that I mentioned here, but never got a chance to put in my eBay store.

Texas Wine Country
Things have been very crazy around here with my son’s biopsies and art festival season beginning, and working on the mural for the Kellam’s nursery. I will have to get photos of that once they get all of the furniture in there. And now that they have confirmed that it is a girl, I have been given permission to go in next weekend and paint pink and violet flowers in the fields with the sheep.  Anyway I am looking forward to Nov. when my life slows down just a bit.
Speaking of Novemeber……The original In The Spotlight painting ($885 retail) will be raffled off at Kismet on Nov. 11th. I believe that each person gets a free raffle ticket with admisssion and can buy extra tickets to increasee one’s chance of winning.
Yule Cat and Seussian Suburb
September 17, 2006 on 7:05 pm | In Art, Auctions, Festivals | No CommentsFirst is the Yule Cat painting I promised to post a couple weeks ago, and just haven’t gotten around to doing until tonight.

11×14″
This is the last of my Christmas card designs. This one will have “Blessed Yule” inside. I am still offering preorders on these cards at $12 for a package of 8. Later the cards will be $12 for a set of 6 or $3.50 each.
And this adorable painting is available on ebay for a great starting price.
The second painting James said reminded him of the works of Dr. Seuss so it was titled Seussian Suburbia.
8×24″
This one is also available on ebay at a great starting price.
Also the Fall Festival Season is about to start. So these will be the last 7 day auctions that I list for awhile. Not sure how many auctions I will be listing.
Saturday September 23rd is the Studio Tour and afterwards Kismet. I look forward to seeing many of you there.
New Work
September 12, 2006 on 10:37 pm | In Art, Auctions | No CommentsWell today I finally got some new paintings photographed and up on eBay.
16×20
16×20″
And I also listed Jingle Bells
Don’t forget I will be participating in the Studio Tour on the 23rd
I know they spelled my name wrong, but I am still looking forward to it, even if I didn’t get to finish my studio. I still need to sheetrock one wall. But hey I will make do.
Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Jingle Bell-ies
September 7, 2006 on 8:30 pm | In Art | No CommentsWell I finished the design for my Christmas cards!
Jingle Bells 16×20″
I am very excited. I still need to photograph the Yule Cat and I think the 3 Christmas/Yule cards are done, and I just need to come up with the money to order them.
I am going to place the order as soon as I can. I am offering a preorder special of only $12 for a set of 8 cards. Once I order the cards quantities will be limited and will cost $12 for a set of 6 cards to start with. I might have to raise prices in the future on them, just because I will be selling them on such a slim profit.
The dove featured earlier will be a full color image on the outside and inside in black and white it will say “Season’s Greetings”.
The yule Cat will be full color outside and inside will say “Have a Blessed Yule”.
And today’s belly dancer will be full color outside and inside will say “Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Jingle Bel-lies, Happy Holidays”
Pink Flower
September 4, 2006 on 10:06 am | In Art, Auctions | No CommentsYesterday’s painting is of a pink flower on 6×6″ canvas.

This image has been temporarily replaced due to theft of the image.
6×6″ on 3/4″ deep gallery wrapped canvas.
I also got Mysticat up on eBay.
I think that these two would actually look nice in the same room, since they use similar colors. Nice little accent peices in a room.
Mysticat ebay listing
September 3, 2006 on 11:51 am | In Uncategorized | No CommentsHere is the eBay listing for the painting I posted yesterday. Alas, yesterday’s painting got left at the Kellams’ when I took it to show it off. If I am lucky I will get a chance to pick it up soon.
Anyway here is Mysticat
Mysticat
September 2, 2006 on 10:55 am | In Art | No CommentsWell here we are with the first of my new painting a day series. This is yesterday’s cat, cause I just didn’t get it posted on time. later today I will post today’s painting. It is still drying as I used lots of the goop to slow down drying.
Mysticat 6×6″ mini painting.
This painting was inspired by the fantasy lions that I painted for the Leo Party. I need to talk to the owners of those Leo paintings to see if they have photos of them.
Later today will be my Yule Cat. One that I have been needing to paint for Yule Cards!
Anyway, I will post the paintings a day to eBay later on.
I have to go fabric shopping today with Jenn. We are going to be working on a quilted tote inspired by my Carnival Canines. Her boy has already dictated that the pup shall be blue. Beyond that, it is all up in the air. Who knows what sort of fun fantastic finds we shall use in this new treasure.
