Okay maybe not that dramatic,but it got your attention.
Today I went to the eye doctor and surprise surprise,my precription hasn’t changed much,but I still need to get new glasses due to the others being 5 years old and kinda ratty looking.
I also got contacts. Boy has it changed how I see things. My prescription is so strong that with glasses the world kinda looks flat. Which might explain my painting style a lot. But with contacts things are crisper,colors are bolder. And best of all their is depth to things. Foregrounds and backgrounds actually do not appear to be on the same plane. Kinda weird after 5 years of seeing everything rather flat.
I think the strangest part was coming home and seeing the paintings I have been working on the last couple of weeks. The paintings almost look like they are vibrating with energy. I am not sure I want to sell Tea Time and Toot Your Own Horn now. They look so nice hanging on my walls.
